One of the methods the search engines use is determining a websites authority. This is an indication of how relevant a website is and how valuable its content is. If a site is considered relevant and highly relevant, it will be viewed as a page with more authority, and a site may be shown at the top of search results. However, the search engines will compare the sites seo ranking, and if they are very similar, the sites ranking will be lower.

The search engines will visit each website to gather information from the website each time a search is performed using the search term that matches the content of your website, and to update their database of information with the information they gathered from each website.

When searching, the search engines follow links from page to page until they’ve reached the end of the search results. If there are still more results to show, the crawler will continue its search through all the pages until its found the information its looking for. The search engines use certain methods to determine each websites ranking for the search term. The algorithms may also consider how many websites link to one another, or how many websites link to your website within the same website. However it works, this method will result in a certain websites ranking for your search query.

Make sure that you use links to other pages and website on your site that are relevant to that page. Make sure that the links are typed in properly and also that they lead to the relevant pages. These links are the best way to generate interest in a page and also are helpful to SEO.

The results pages also consider how many incoming links your site receives, how many websites link to your site, how many sites link within the same website, and how many pages of content are linked within your website.

A high authority website is considered more important by the search engines, and will be listed higher than a site with a low authority. The more authority you have within your own website, the higher you will rank for the search term.

An important aspect of a web page is how many links it has to other websites. It can be a simple as a single link in a navigation menu that points to your home page.
